A Total Wipeout at the Costa Rican Surf Camp

So, I thought I was stoked to head to Costa Rica/the Pacific Coast of CR/this tropical paradise for an epic surf camp. Big waves, killer sunsets, and maybe even some surfing skills, you know? Well, let's just say it didn't quite go as planned. First off, my board decided to split like an overripe mango on day one. Talk about bad vibes! Then, I discovered that "surfing/riding waves/conquering the ocean" is way harder than it looks on YouTube. Turns out, I'm more of a sink-like-a-stone/beach bum/professional spectator when it comes to riding the waves.

Adding insult to injury, the monkeys decided to steal my lunch (twice!). I mean, come on! What kind of surf camp doesn't even have a decent security system?
